Position Overview
The Attorney Workplace Investigator will be responsible for conducting impartial and thorough investigations into workplace complaints, allegations of misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and other employment-related matters. This role involves collaborating closely with clients, HR professionals, and legal teams to gather and analyze evidence, interview relevant parties, and provide comprehensive investigative reports. In addition, this role will involve actively pursuing new business opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding our client base.

Key Responsibilities:
ATTORNEY WORKPLACE INVESTIGATOR Responsibilities:
Conduct Investigations:
- Independently plan, conduct, and manage neutral third-party workplace investigations with the utmost fairness and impartiality.
- Interview complainants, witnesses, and subjects of investigations to collect relevant information.
- Review documents, policies, and procedures related to each case.
- Draft interview outlines, investigation plans, and exceptional investigations reports.
- Work closely with clients and client representatives.
Legal Expertise:
- Thorough knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations to ensure investigations comply with legal requirements.
Evidence Analysis:
- Analyze complex evidence, witness statements, and documents to determine credibility and establish facts.
- Maintain meticulous documentation of investigative processes and findings.
Reporting and Recommendations:
- Prepare clear and concise investigative reports summarizing findings, evidence, and conclusions.
- Provide recommendations for appropriate action based on investigation results.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active state bar membership required.
- 5+ years of experience conducting employment investigations or with employment litigation and advice/counseling.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent interviewing, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Great client relationship development and management skills. Proven track record of successful business development and client acquisition.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality throughout investigations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

Position Overview
This multi-faceted role combines administrative support, business development initiatives, and chapter administration duties. The ideal candidate will effectively manage these three distinct areas while maintaining high standards of professionalism and attention to detail.
The Administrative Assistant/Business Development Coordinator will provide high-level support to our Managing Shareholder and Director of Operations and Administration, ensuring efficient operations, seamless communication, and strategic administrative management. There will also be additional support for the Managing Shareholder in her role as Chapter President for the Sacramento Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO)—a vibrant professional chapter supporting women business owners in the Sacramento region.

Key Responsibilities
Firm Administrative Support
- Manage active calendars and schedule meetings for the firm
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, handling the main phone line with utmost professionalism
- Triage and prioritize the managing shareholder’s inboxes, drafting responses when appropriate
- Coordinate and plan firm travel, including itineraries and logistics
- Prepare and edit correspondence, presentations, and reports
- Manage confidential and sensitive information with discretion
- Organize and maintain digital filing system
- Proactively identify and resolve administrative issues to ensure smooth operations
Business Development Coordination
- Identify and research potential business opportunities and partnerships
- Create and maintain promotional materials and presentations
- Track and report on business development metrics
- Support proposal development and submission
- Assist in maintaining client and partner relationships
- Coordinate business development activities
- Support marketing initiatives and content development
NAWBO Chapter Administrative Support
- Support the Chapter President and Executive Committee in operation
- Track and monitor action items from board meeting
- Monitor chapter adherence to national organization standards
- Provide administrative support for chapter infrastructure and processes
- Support compliance with national requirements and state regulatory agencies
- Prepare materials for board meetings, member meetings, and partner meetings
- Monitor RSVPs and maintain attendee lists for chapter events
- Support chapter management and resource allocation
Hours
- 100% remote position
- 4-6 hours per day, Monday through Friday
- Must be willing to work West Coast business hours, regardless of your physical location.
Salary
$25-32 per hour, DOE
Qualifications:
- Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an administrative assistant and/or business development support role, preferably in a legal or professional services environment
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities
Savvy with Teams, Slack, Asana and AI tools - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with legal software and document management systems is a plus
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professional discretion
