Jillian Hollingshead

After law school, Jillian joined O’Melveny and Myers as a litigation associate. Her practice focused on complex business litigation, including unfair competition, professional liability defense, business torts, trademark, insurance, contract and class actions. She handled all aspects of litigation, including drafting and arguing motions; taking and defending depositions; researching and preparing case analysis; representing clients at mediations and settlement conferences; conducting witness interviews; preparing witnesses and experts for depositions; and handling discovery.

Jillian has significant trial and arbitration experience. In addition to participating in civil trials, she worked as a short-term Deputy District Attorney with the Orange County District Attorney’s office, during which time she successfully obtained guilty verdicts in several jury trials. Jillian was also a member of a three-attorney team that obtained victories in multiple international arbitrations and spent time in O’Melveny’s London office working on the largest European Telecom dispute.

Jillian’s legal career included a secondment to Western Digital Corporation, where she served as Acting Legal Counsel. In this role, she was responsible for the oversight and management of all litigation, as well as resolution of competitor disputes; the development of a framework for a legal compliance program; employee trainings on trade secret issues; and the investigation and resolution of internal employee issues.

Jillian is a certified Title IX workplace investigator with trauma-informed training. She is experienced with conducting workplace investigations, overseeing resolution of violations in corporate employee conduct, and monitoring corporate legal and regulatory compliance.

In addition to civil jury trials, she has conducted criminal trials and participated in multiple international arbitrations. For the last five years, she has also served as a neutral arbitrator for construction defect and contract disputes.

During her career, Jillian has monitored corporate regulatory compliance and investigated and resolved violations in employee conduct. She has also overseen a global corporate ethics and compliance program, including the development of the legal compliance framework and internal policies and procedures.

Jillian's Education & Professional Affiliations

Jillian received her Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, graduating cum laude in 2005. She graduated summa cum laude from UCLA in 2001 and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa.
